A generously scaled 19th-century Northern Italian possibly Austrian bookcase or display cabinet, finely veneered in warm, richly figured fruitwood. The molded and stepped cornice sits above a pair of tall glazed doors with rounded upper corners, opening to an interior fitted with adjustable shelves.  Minimal ornamentation characteristic of the Biedermeier Period.
