Constructed entirely of walnut with ebonized details , the  rear of the top is level while the front and majority of the hinged top slopes slightly downward, the tops with a raised gallery, the top opening to reveal a large storage well, the case housing one deep drawer, raised on turned columnar legs with a bottom tier also housing one drawer, the feet are turned and slightly tapering
